Life Changes, Newer Postings, and More

By Benjamin H. Liles

I know it's practically been a year since I last posted, but a lot of things have happened since this world was hit with Covid-19.While this website is not going away, there will be some changes, again. The biggest changes have been to my health, loss of my now late grandmother as well as my father. To say this last year has been a time of upheaval, change, and loss is an understatement. Both of them, my maternal mom's death and my mom losing her husband - my father, has made it real tough on me. It's not only made me look at things with newer and more fresh eyes, but to not take life or even living for granted. For the greater part of the last year I've been learning a lot about web design and development (while my health has struggled). I've loved growing this site on blogger.

With all of that said, this is what's happening: for the time being this site is staying on blogger, even though it says it's my website. I know a lot of people won't know the technicalities of website development and all so I'll spare you guys that information. Just know for now this site is still up and I will do what I can, when I can and am able to do so.

Add to the next things that have happened, even more recently, is Russia invading Ukraine. I know a lot of us worldwide are watching and listening for news on what's going on. I know I am. I'm looking forward myself to see how the negotiations go for the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine at Ukraine's request. Even though I do have my own political views I just want to boil it down to I don't like seeing people suffer needlessly.

I've learned a lot more and a great deal about certain subjects that interest me such as genealogy, who's who in my family, and things I found greatly interesting about my overall beliefs and makeup. Some of you who have Facebook pages know me, some personally and others being acquaintances. Paul also wrote in Romans, and I know I've used this verse before in other articles, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Rom. 8:28, New King James Version).

All things considered, every day life happens. Some good, some bad, and some neither (more like those "eh" moments we have). The main thing is that we all love one another as Christ Jesus Himself said: "A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another" (John 13:34, Berean Study). In summation, change happens and we have to deal with that even though we may hate it, and I know I've struggled hard with change all my life. Most likely always will. The big thing is to never lose heart. Always live with hope, grace, and love for nothing is greater than love, which will prevail in the end. Bless you all and peace be yours! In our Messiah Jesus' name I pray and write these words. Amen.
