In my area where I live there is a program that is called the Hunger Alliance. It is an organization that seeks to help individuals and families get the food they desperately need where there is no adequate help for them. Food stamps are being cut on a large amount of our elderly and children who are low-income due to people not having jobs. There's actually a job shortage for a lot of people.
It is my goal to raise $6,000 to help those who need it. It would benefit children, elderly, those who are without a job - at the moment and are in need of help in getting food. The main reason i am doing this is simply because I desire to help. Some food pantries don't have the best food available and food banks are releasing food that is old, freezer burnt, and have the potential in making others sick. I honestly don't want that happening to anyone.
If you feel led to help in any way, no amount is too small: whether it's $1 or $100 any amount helps to put food on the table for the community here. I've been helping at a local food pantry for some time and I would make sure the money would make it to them. Thank you.
