Joyful Celebration

By Benjamin H. Liles

"Let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; yes, let them rejoice with gladness. Sing to God, sing praises to His name; lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, whose name is the Lord, and exult before Him. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. They have seen Your procession, O God, the procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary. The singers went on, the musicians after them, in the midst of the maidens beating tambourines. O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God! ~ Psalm 68:3-4, 19, 24-25, 35, New American Standard

Standing in the Gap (Ezekiel 13)

By Benjamin H. Liles

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, ‘Hear the word of the Lord!’” Thus says the Lord God: “Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! Therefore you shall no longer envision futility nor practice divination; for I will deliver My people out of your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.” ~ Ezekiel 13:1-23, New King James

God's Peace

By, Benjamin H. Liles

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. ~ Isaiah 26:3, NKJV

Whole (Book Review)

By Benjamin H. Liles

Whole, by Steve Wiens, is an interesting book by far. I have been able to review it and from what I read I truly liked a great deal. The way he writes is reminiscent of Max Lucado, to a degree. Steve Wiens takes certain stories from scripture and embellishes them a little. Bit he does it to draw us a picture. He does it with a gentle grace to get to the point he's trying to make.

God's Grace Breaks Chains

By Benjamin H. Liles

I saw something this morning, while reading, that I thought would be a good and loving word: "Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind" (Psalm 107:8, 15, 21, 31).

Solar Eclipse and End of the World

By Benjamin H. Liles

I have to say this to those and any who believe this solar eclipse event is going to usher in Revelation and the last days: it is just another day for us in America. All of you who sit and watch in horror as "The Sky is Falling" will bury their heads in the sand. Yes, I'm as much a Christian as any who claim they are. But saying this eclipse is ushering 1) the days of Revelation or 2) Jesus Christ's second coming is off base.

The Power of Manipulation

By Tanya G. Liles

Ever felt like you were being controlled from someone else? That you would do whatever to please them so you didn’t have to fight or argue? Do you like bossing others around, gossip or say hurtful things unto others so you could feel better about yourself? Pretended to be sick just to take the day off from work or get a certain person to do your beck and call?

Our Righteousness are Filthy Rags

By Benjamin H. Liles

Whatever you do, do well. ~ Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NKJV)

Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.” ~ James 2:18, NLT

Those Who Abide In God

By Benjamin H. Liles

And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. ~ Revelation 3:14,20, NKJV

If You Want to Follow Me

By Benjamin H. Liles

Under where it says "Tags" on my website here there are ways to follow me. And I'll also add links here as well, should you desire to follow me when I post up new articles. The first way is by going to me facebook author page. Another way is to come to my personal facebook page and I will add you to my author page. You can follow me on google plus, but the way they do that is for you to add me to a circle you want me in. The final way is through my twitter page. One thing to note is that on my google+ and twitter pages there are two of each article I have written. I have no control over that. But there you go. That's how you can follow me.

God's Great Grace

Love fulfills the letter of the Law. Faith in Jesus justifies that work of love.

By Benjamin H. Liles

All those who sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all those who sinned under the law will be judged by the law. For the hearers of the law are not righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be declared righteous. So, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, instinctively do what the law demands, they are a law to themselves even though they do not have the law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts. Their consciences confirm this. Their competing thoughts will either accuse or excuse them on the day when God judges what people have kept secret, according to my gospel through Christ Jesus. ~ Romans 2:12-16, Holman Christian Standard

Pride Leads to Rebellion (Ezekiel 12)

By Benjamin H. Liles

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house...Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "None of my words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,"'" declares the Lord God. ~ Ezekiel 12:1-28, New American Standard

How Jesus Fulfills Bible Prophecy

By Benjamin H. Liles

Today I want to focus on how Jesus fulfills prophecy. So many people question the truthfulness of what God says in His word. I can understand being skeptical at best. But there are a number of people who are openly hostile that the Bible is a book of lies, fictional, and consequently that God doesn't exist. So, not only will I show that not only does Jesus fulfills prophecy, but that considering man's sinfulness, that man alone is fallible, God will judge each man according to his faith, or lack thereof.

Israel's Leaders Judged (Ezekiel 11)

By Benjamin H. Liles

The Spirit then lifted me up and brought me to the eastern gate of the Lord's house, which faces east, and at the gate's entrance were 25 men. Among them I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzur, and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people...The Spirit lifted me up and brought me to Chaldea (meaning Babylon) and to the exiles in a vision from the Spirit of God. After the vision I had seen left me, I spoke to the exiles about all the things the Lord had shown me. ~ Ezekiel 11:1-25, Holman Christian Standard

God's Glory Departs (Ezekiel 10)

By Benjamin H. Liles

Then I looked, and behold, in the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim something like a sapphire stone, in appearance resembling a throne, appeared above them...As for the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces whose appearance I had seen by the river Chebar. Each one went straight ahead. ~ Ezekiel 10:1-22, New American Standard

My People Who Are Humbled

By Benjamin H. Liles

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. ~ Psalm 149:4, NKJV

The Wicked Slain (Ezekiel 9)

By Benjamin H. Liles

Then He called out in my hearing with a loud voice, saying, "Let those who have charge over the city draw near, each with a deadly weapon in his hand...Just then, the man clothed with linen, who had the inkhorn at his side, reported back and said, "I have done as You commanded me." ~ Ezekiel 9:1-11

The Lord Judges

By Benjamin H. Liles

For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our Lawgiver, the Lord is our King; He will save us. ~ Isaiah 33:22, NKJV

God's Anger with our Forgetfulness (Ezekiel 8)

By Benjamin H. Liles

I know we tend to do things out of character when we say we love God. But what does it say to Him when we forget who He is, what He's done for us, and His promises towards us? Do we actually have faith enough to lean on Him and His word? Or do we either forget His word and also Him altogether for things that are temporary?
